The education system in India
24 November 2020 ❤ 2
According to the Indian constitution, each independent state has the right to make decisions and make policies about the school systems in India. Thus the Indian Government has a minimal role in deciding and developing the future of the education system in India. However, in 1976 this rule was changed and now the educational policies and decisions are now "concurrent", which means the decisions are on the national level. NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training), plays an important role in determining the key policies and programs of the Indian educational system.
The Indian educational system has four levels and it is divided into :
Lower primary
Upper primary
High
Higher secondary
